Bio


Zhao Yanbin is a multidisciplinary artist, filmmaker, and curator whose practice engages labor, memory, language, and diaspora across temporal, spatial, and affective registers. Working with 16mm experimental film and installation, Zhao examines ruptures and entanglements among histories, geographies, and subjectivities, navigating the space between the visible and the ineffable, the translated and the untranslatable.

Zhao holds an MFA in Film from the California Institute of the Arts. His work has been presented at festivals including Image Forum Festival, Onion City Experimental Film Festival, Beijing International Short Film Festival, and Alchemy Film and Moving Image Festival, as well as at institutions such as LUX, UCCA Edge, REDCAT, and Los Angeles Filmforum. In 2024, he received the LACE Lightning Fund for Emerging Artists and was selected for the Visual Studies Workshop residency in Rochester, New York.

He is the co-founder of 飞蚊 mosmote, a collective platform dedicated to independent, experimental, and critically engaged cinema through screenings, workshops, and publishing initiatives.

赵延彬是一名艺术家、影像创作者与策展人，他的实践围绕劳动、记忆、语言与离散经验展开，并深入其在时间、空间与情感层面的生成、流动与抵触。他的作品以 16 毫米实验电影与装置为媒介，探寻历史、地缘政治与主体经验之间的断裂与纠缠，游走于可见与不可言说、转译与不透明的缝隙之间。

赵延彬毕业于加州艺术学院，获电影硕士学位。其作品曾在 Image Forum Festival、Onion City Experimental Film Festival、北京国际短片电影节、Alchemy Film and Moving Image Festival 等影展，以及 LUX、UCCA Edge、REDCAT 与 Los Angeles Filmforum 等机构展出。2024 年，他获得 LACE Lightning Fund 艺术家资金，并入选Visual Studies Workshop驻留项目。
