This screening presents a collection of short films by filmmakers from China, Palestine, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Brazil, Argentina, and South Africa. Burning Atlas focuses on experimental shorts that traverse linear time and break through geographical boundaries amid global states of emergency. These works engage with themes of anti-colonial critique, traumatic memory, kinship, and the limits of image and imagination. Situated at the edge of visual language, they collectively explore radical forms of re-narration, understanding, and reconstruction of the world.
